En 1984, Mario Filion, Charlotte Filion et Jean Filion, tous originaires de Mont-Rolland (Québec), fondent Les Descendants de Michel Feulion et de Louise Le Bercier Inc. À l'origine, cette corporation sans but lucratif ne vise que les Filion issus du couple Feulion-Le Bercier, mais elle s'intéresse également aux familles Bercier dont l'ancêtre, Louis, était l'oncle de Louise Le Bercier, l'épouse de Michel Feulion. In 1984, Mario Filion, Charlotte Filion and Jean Filion, all from Mont-Rolland (Quebec), founded Les Descendants de Michel Feulion et de Louise Le Bercier Inc. At the beginning, this non-profit organization aims only at the Filions issued from ancestor Michel Feulion, but its interest is also in the Bercier families whose ancestor, Louis, was the uncle of Louise Le Bercier, wife of Michel Feulion.
Le 22 janvier 1993, l'Inspecteur général des Institutions financières (Gouvernement du Québec) accepte de modifier les lettres patentes de l'association de familles, lesquelles sont inscrites dans la Gazette officielle du Québec au libro C-1415, folio 79.

La corporation sans but lucratif porte désormais la dénomination: Association des Filion, Fillion, Philion et Phillion d'Amérique.

Désormais, l'association s'intéresse à tous les F(Ph)il(l)ion, quelque soit leur origine patronymique, généalogique ou géographique:

 On January 22, 1993, the General Inspector of the Financial Institutions (Quebec's Government) agrees to modify the patent letters of the family association, which are registered in the Official Gazette of Quebec to the libro C-1415, folio 79. 

The non-profit organization carries from now on the name of Association des Filion, Fillion, Philion et Phillion d'Amérique (North America).

From now on, the association is interested in all F(Ph)il(l)ion, whatever their patronymic, genealogical or geographical origins:

Les objets pour lesquels l'Association des Filion, Fillion, Philion et Phillion d'Amérique est constituée sont les suivants: The purposes of existence for the Association des Filion, Fillion, Philion et Phillion d'Amérique are as follow: 
  • regrouper à des fins purement culturelles et sans intention de gain pécuniaire pour ses membres, les Filion, Fillion, Philion et Phillion d'Amérique, sans égard à leur origine généalogique;

  • to gather for pure cultural informations only and without intention of pecuniary profit for the members, Filion, Fillion, Philion and Phillion of America, without regard to their genealogical origin; 
    		•
  • favoriser les contacts familiaux par des rencontres, des publications et autres manifestations;
    		•
  • to support contacts between families through meetings, publications and other demonstrations; 
    		•
  • dresser une généalogie complète et écrire l'histoire de la famille;
    		•
  • to draw up a complete genealogy and to write the family history; 
    		•
  • rechercher des moyens de financement afin d'effectuer des recherches et de diffuser les connaissances sur l'histoire de la famille;
    		•
  • to seek financial sources in order to carry out research and to diffuse knowledge on the family history;
    		•
  • fournir aux membres des services privilégiés de consultation et d'information sur l'histoire de la famille.

  • to provide members privileged consultation services and information on the family history.
